As of 29 April 2025, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a mint set to mark 145 years since the establishment of the National Bank of Romania and 20 years since the redenomination of the domestic currency.
The mint set comprises the Romanian coins in circulation with face values of ban 1, bani 5, bani 10, bani 50 and a silver medal, all items in proof-like quality.

Obverse: a partial view of the New Palace of the National Bank of Romania, the lion statue in the foreground, the inscription “145 DE ANI” and the year of issue “2025”.
Reverse: a graphical composition in the form of the complex transparent windows on the Romanian banknotes in circulation and the central inscription “20 DE ANI”.
The mint set comes as a folder in a case, with the minted items being inserted in special slots.
The maximum mintage of this numismatic issue is 5,000 sets.
The selling price of the mint set is lei 450.00, VAT excluded.
The mint sets to mark 145 years since the establishment of the National Bank of Romania and 20 years since the redenomination of the domestic currency are put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara.
