In January-July 2010 the balance-of-payments current account posted a deficit of EUR 3,797 million, 38.5% higher yoy, due largely to the 32% decrease in current transfers balance. On August 31st 2010, National Bank of Romania’s foreign exchange reserves stood at EUR 31,554 million, compared to EUR 31,580 million on July 31st 2010. The gold stock has held steady at 103.7 tonnes. The international reserves of Romania (foreign currencies and gold) on August 31st, 2010 stood at EUR 34,798 million. »»»
